South Carolina health officials held a press conference during National Immunization Awareness Month to stress keeping vaccines up to date for children and adults and to protect against measles, meningitis and whooping cough.
The event also named Dr. Maritere Nazario as the 2026 Immunization Champion Award winner + urged residents to consult their doctors about vaccine options.
